KEY POINTS OF USE :

FIND OUT ABOUT THE BENIFITS OF EACH OF THE SHAPES :

Round head

This yielding foam ball is an excellent spot to start for you and your horse. The round head is extremely useful to train your horse to become acclimatized with the potentially strange sensation on the initial try. It is very useful to gain and maintain your horse's trust and confidence with this technology, and is also helpful to assist in understanding which areas your horse does and doesn’t enjoy.

Forked Head
The fork glides perfectly along the hamstring, buttocks, crest of the neck both sides, and (if your horse enjoys the sensation), all along the spine to the dock of the tail. This attachment enables deep penetration to particularly tight and sore areas, and is a very handy tool for both humans and equines.

Cone head

Same as the u-shaped head, the cone head may be a cylinder-shaped head and is used typically for the buttocks and hamstring area, it also can be used along the spine and right down to the top of the tail. This head, again just like the u-shaped head, works for the exceptionally painful areas should only be used for deep penetrating functions.

Flat head
The flat head is used exclusively for the buttocks, thighs, neck, hindquarters and croup. This head is for relaxation purposes only and will not be used for muscle knots or any deep tissue release. Moreover, this head is useful for obstructive care attentively to the deep tissue medical issue.

Thumb Head
This advanced thumb attachment is really the best head to use for targeted deep-tissue relief. It is commonly used on areas of known tightness and tension, but given its ability to deeply target a small surface area, we advise not to use it for too long. This attachment head is used more for therapeutic use, not for relaxation purposes.

Shovel Head
This attachment works best over large muscle groups, and offers a ‘Shiatsu’ type of treatment. It is a useful tool for breaking down granulomatous (scar) tissue and relieving tight muscular pain, perfect for the hindquarters, neck, croup and thighs.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND GUIDANCE FOR USE:

Always start on a low setting, let your horse acclimate and get used to the sensation.

Take your time: start slowly and watch the cues your Horse will give. You will quickly learn to understand your Horse’s favourite points, heads and speeds. The aim is always to relax the horse first, before moving onto deep tissue and therapeutic use.

FOR RELAXATION PURPOSES:

For the purpose of relaxation only, use low speeds. Stick to large, dense muscles areas and find your horses favourite areas, and work from there.
The ball or flat heads are perfect for providing a relaxing and relieving sensation to your horse.

FOR THERAPEUTIC PURPOSES:

Once your horse is relaxed and used to the percussive motion, you can start to use higher speeds and different head that target deep tissue.
The bullet and fork head are especially effective for deep tissue muscle relief as they penetrate deeper into the muscle than the flat or ball head.
